World Book Day 2011

It is only 1 week until this year's World Book Day. There will be 2 competitions in the Library on World Book Day for students as well as lots of book displays and WBD bookmarks. One of the book displays will feature some of my favourite books - ever. One of these is Philip Reeve's book Mortal Engines.

RMBA Winners Announced!

At a ceremony in Glasgow this afternoon the winners of the Royal Mail Book Awards 2010 were announced. In the age 12 category the winner was Mr Mumbles (Invisible Fiends) by Barry Hutchison. In the teen category the winner was Grass by Cathy MacPhail.

There will be an award ceremony for all those who were judges in the school on Thursday at 3pm in the Library. Thank for all your work and a special thanks to the 3 students who read all six of the shortlisted books.
